Jerome's ultimate goal is that his students become their own instructors. He seeks to empower them to take control of their own games. Whether beginners, juniors, corporate individuals or accomplished tour players, the same teaching principles apply. To achieve this end, he follows a two step approach:
Players are helped to understand their "main cause tendencies." Main cause tenedencies are those habits that players have which do not allow synchronized motion between the arms, club and body. Synchronization is achieved when a player's arms, club and body complete the backswing together so that they can swing and rotate through impact together. Jerome uses video analysis to help identify his students' main cause tendencies, thus putting them on their way to achieving consistent shots and better scores.
Jerome formulates a specific training program of drills and exercises to meet their specific needs. These drills are rehearsed on the range and in front of a mirror to help keep the desired new vision and feeling in the forefront of their minds. Instead of trying to find a quick fix every time they play or practice, players will play and practice with purpose and enjoy the process of getting better.
